About the position

The Manager of Talent Acquisition for Veterinary Hospitals at Petco is responsible for leading a team of talent acquisition professionals to identify and recruit top talent for Vetco Total Care Hospitals across the country. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that aligns with business objectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, and utilizing innovative staffing tools to meet recruitment goals. The position emphasizes a commitment to improving the lives of pets and their owners through strategic hiring practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic direction and management of business-aligned recruiting resources.
  • Analyze daily team activity, quality, and performance to meet or exceed contracting goals.
  • Develop innovative staffing tools and techniques to meet candidate requirements.
  • Partner with the Educational and Events Outreach team to drive candidate flow.
  • Deliver measures to communicate talent acquisition effectiveness based on quality, cost, efficiency, and customer feedback.
  • Build relationships with leadership to design and execute cohesive talent acquisition strategies.
  • Ensure proactive communication strategies for the talent acquisition team.
  • Provide guidance to senior leadership on hospital staffing needs and labor market trends.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to execute recruitment advertising and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Human Resources certificate (PHR/SPHR) preferred.
  • 7-10 years of recruiting experience, preferably in veterinary or human healthcare.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a strategic partner with business leaders.
  • Proven ability to develop talent pipelines and execute effective business plans.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and project management skills.
