About the position

As the Manager of Technical Product Management for the Sales Platform Team at NextEra Energy, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing multiple agile teams dedicated to enhancing our flagship sales workflow product. Your leadership will be crucial in balancing the delivery of value to our sales and installation partners while preparing the organization for a direct-to-consumer approach. This position requires a strategic mindset to develop and communicate a compelling long-term vision for Everbright's technology stack, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching goals of sustainability and decarbonization. You will be responsible for creating and managing product roadmaps that drive value for our partners and advance our direct-to-consumer vision. Your role will involve leading cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, finance, sales, and marketing, to ensure cohesive product development that aligns with business objectives. You will champion innovation by implementing modern product discovery and delivery methods, fostering a culture of creative thinking within the product management team. In addition to overseeing agile teams, you will collaborate with other Product Management team members to ensure goal alignment, optimize resource allocation, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the organization. Your ability to engage with engineers, designers, and stakeholders will be essential in building constructive and collaborative relationships that drive product success. You will also be responsible for mentoring and managing a subset of the product team, recognizing individual talents, and promoting shared success within the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate a compelling long-term vision for Everbright's tech stack that aligns with the company's strategic goals.
• Oversee the creation of product roadmaps across teams, ensuring value delivery to partners and advancement toward the D2C vision.
• Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, finance, sales, and marketing, to ensure cohesive product development and alignment with business objectives.
• Champion innovation by implementing modern product discovery and delivery methods, encouraging creative thinking within the product management team.
• Collaborate with other Product Management team members to ensure alignment of goals, optimize resource allocation, and enhance overall effectiveness.
• Oversee multiple agile teams, providing guidance and leadership to ensure efficient and effective product development.
• Write clear and concise product briefs, epics, stories, and tasks for development and QA teams with minimal supervision.
• Own and oversee research and product discovery across internal business units and external parties, documenting requirements.
• Oversee vendor and third-party integrations, acting as a subject matter expert on the competitive landscape and market trends.
• Define product vision and execute product strategy, supporting and influencing discussions at the executive level.
• Manage and mentor a subset of the product team, recognizing individual talents and promoting shared success.
• Manage team growth by collaborating with HR on candidate profiles, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
• Execute core people management duties, including performance feedback, reviews, and supporting direct report development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 8+ years in Product Management.
• Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business - engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing.
• Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and stakeholders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.
• Demonstrated understanding of modern product discovery and product delivery techniques and methods.
• Strong leadership and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Passion for clean energy and sustainability.
