About the position

The Manager, Office - Family Services position at Samaritas involves providing leadership and administrative support to the center's office staff. This hybrid remote role requires occasional travel to various offices in Michigan, focusing on effective office operations and staff management to enhance service delivery in line with the organization's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to center's office staff and administrative support for center operations and director.
  • Maintain current knowledge of, develop, and implement procedures related to effective office operations in accordance with center, division, and organization policy and procedures.
  • Prepare and process documents for recruitment, new hires, employment/salary changes, and terminations under the direction of the center director.
  • Develop, distribute, and maintain general correspondence, statistical and formal reports, and other written materials, forms, and documents as assigned.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention efforts, including interviewing and hiring.
  • Create and maintain personnel and medical files for each employee according to established agency and center policies and procedures.
  • Monitor office equipment and space; arrange for repair and maintenance of office equipment, telephones, computers, and space.
  • Assist with or coordinate special events for the center and the various programs as requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two years' office experience required.
  • Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Business school graduate preferred.
