About the position

The Manager, Operations - Business Affairs at Walmart Connect will be responsible for managing and streamlining the Purchase Order (PO) process, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place. This role requires a strong background in procurement and project management, with a focus on driving organizational growth and efficiency. The position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance the procurement process and improve operational efficiency, while also providing training and support to internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve operational expense purchase orders (PO) across the business.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to increase ROI of non-wage investments.
  • Develop ways of working for the procurement process at Walmart Connect.
  • Ensure adherence to processes and policies related to procurement.
  • Act as the key liaison between Finance, Global Procurement, Procurement Ops, and WMC Business.
  • Identify areas for efficiencies and opportunities for automation in processes.
  • Manage dashboards/reports to track PO progress and adherence to the annual operating plan.
  • Enhance systems and capabilities to improve productivity.
  • Lead and develop an operational program for Walmart Connect, with potential future team management responsibilities.
  • Stay updated with financial accounting regulations and industry best practices.
  • Develop training programs and materials for internal teams on the procure to pay process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years relevant work experience in Business Operations, Finance, Program Management, Procurement, or Accounting.
  • Digital advertising or media experience is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to strategically structure and use frameworks to break down complex problems.
  • Business process savvy, with an understanding of business processes and related risks.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing high-performing teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Supervising Associates experience.
  • Master's degree in Economics.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
