About the position

As the Manager of Operations Management at Lambert's Cable, you will lead project management efforts in the telecommunications sector, ensuring effective communication and reporting on project statuses to stakeholders. This role involves overseeing project documentation, managing construction crews, and coordinating multi-site projects while maintaining a focus on quality and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update project documentation
  • Program task management as assigned by the Director
  • Develop and maintain program file system (physical and electronic)
  • Contact customers to obtain project-specific information
  • Estimate revenue and customer costs based on provided estimating tools
  • Ensure stakeholder notification and buy-in
  • Complete project close-out per company standards
  • Track accruals weekly and submit at the end of every week
  • Schedule work and crew make-ups with scheduler for internal and external use
  • Review invoices from subcontractors to confirm production and accurate accounting
  • Work with Accounts Receivable and Billing Department to ensure all revenue is accounted for and accurate
  • Forecast month and year for each project and program
  • Create purchase orders
  • Design review and estimate take-offs
  • Work with internal support groups to set up projects in accounting system
  • Remove obstacles and empower Operations to be successful
  • Manage and monitor project progress, risk, and quality of customer experience
  • Manage project level activities including critical path monitoring, procurement, resource loading, and conflict resolution
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become problems
  • Lead efforts to gather all project level status to report on project status to all stakeholders
  • Track change impact and delay impact
  • Forecast and manage materials to facilitate scheduled work on time and under budget
  • Complete all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Previous work in telecommunications construction in outside plant facilities
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Manager of construction crews
  • Extensive knowledge of telecommunications construction requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in delivering Construction Telecommunications services or utility-related industry
  • Experience managing contractors and coordinating multi-site construction projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solver and critical thinker
  • Driven and self-motivated
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Project
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance
