About the position

The Manager, Operations Planning & Analysis position is a critical role within the Store Operations team, focusing on the analysis and reporting of operational data to support decision-making processes. This position is responsible for reviewing operations-related data, financial reporting, and managing various project tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of store operations. The individual in this role will utilize their analytical skills to identify root causes of business problems, provide insightful business commentary, and implement effective solutions to enhance operational performance. In addition to analytical responsibilities, the Manager will compile, analyze, and report on over 20 different reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. This requires a high level of technical proficiency to ensure tasks are performed accurately and efficiently. The Manager will serve as the subject matter expert for various projects within the Store Operations Department, taking the lead on project creation, development, and acting as a liaison between departments. Participation in the TSC Data Steward Program is also a key aspect of this role, where the Manager will represent Store Operations as the data expert and support the Master Data Governance Program as it evolves. The position also involves project implementation and effective communication with various levels of the company, ensuring that operations priorities and process development activities are followed through. Occasional auditing tasks may also be required, adding to the diverse responsibilities of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Use analytical skills to identify root causes for business problems and provide business commentary and implement solutions.
  • Compile, analyze, and report in excess of 20 reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Utilize technical skills to perform tasks in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for various projects on behalf of the Store Operations Department, including project creation, development, inter-department liaison, or leadership.
  • Participate in the TSC Data Steward Program by representing Store Operations as the DATA Expert and ensuring adherence to the Master Data Governance Program.
  • Responsible for project implementation and communicating with various levels of the company.
  • Provide follow through on Operations priorities and process development activities.
  • Perform occasional auditing tasks.

Requirements

  • 5 years related experience in financial and/or data analysis required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Advanced MS Access, VBA, and MS Excel skills are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Kronos for Retail, SQL Plus, Business Objects, Alteryx, and general accounting principles is a significant plus.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Deadline driven with demonstrated project management and organization skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail or operations is a plus.
