About the position

As an Operations Manager - Seller Growth & Marketing at Walmart Local Marketplace, you will play a pivotal role in empowering local businesses and helping them thrive in a dynamic startup-like environment backed by the scale of the world's largest retailer. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about connecting local sellers with millions of customers globally. You will be responsible for shaping programs and key messaging across new categories and markets, generating strategic insights in collaboration with Product, Customer Marketing, and Analytics teams to inform our roadmap. Your role will involve leveraging seller behavioral insights, feedback, and competitive analysis to develop and execute effective B2B marketing strategies. In this highly cross-functional role, you will work closely with various teams including Product, Sales, Consumer, Customer Marketing, Legal, and PR. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential as you will be required to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively. The ideal candidate will be an analytical marketer with a robust understanding of marketing methods that align with seller objectives, continuously adjusting strategies based on seller feedback. You should be a self-starter, comfortable with building from the ground up, and possess a metrics-driven mindset with a strong desire to learn and lead in a fast-paced environment. Your impact will be significant as you develop and execute seller-facing growth programs and marketing tactics aimed at driving awareness and adoption of Walmart's Local Marketplace features and programs. You will utilize various channels and tools such as email, webinars, websites, social media, infographics, and videos to effectively communicate with target audiences. Additionally, you will lead the voice of the seller program, gathering feedback to drive continuous product improvement and managing multiple projects and campaigns with competing timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute seller-facing growth programs and marketing tactics for Walmart's Local Marketplace features and programs.
  • Leverage various channels and tools (e.g., email, webinar, website, social media, infographics, video) to effectively communicate with target audiences.
  • Lead the voice of the seller program and gather seller feedback to drive continuous product improvement.
  • Build reports to track progress towards creating new inbound leads.
  • Manage multiple projects and campaigns with competing timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 2 years' experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 4 years' experience in operations, project management, or related area.
  • 4-8 years of experience in Marketing, Product Marketing, Growth Operations, Program Management, Business Operations, or a related field.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and understanding of performance metrics.
  • Problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit, passionate about process building and optimization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in B2B Marketing, Growth Operations, Program Management, Business Operations or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Marketing and Sales, healthcare, or related area and 4 years' experience in business management, marketing and sales, omni channel merchandising, or related area.
