About the position

The Operations Manager at Lakeshore Recycling Systems is responsible for leading operational efficiencies and achieving results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash management. This role involves building operational talent, addressing performance challenges, and implementing sustainable practices while working cross-functionally with various business units.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive operational efficiencies in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash management.
• Build operational talent and address key performance challenges.
• Implement sustainable standard practices across operations.
• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Drive and track financial performance through budget management and forecasting.
• Work with business units to enhance customer attraction, retention, and service quality.
• Schedule shifts, plan for call-ins/no shows, and report department metrics.
• Supervise team members, dispatchers, and drivers, providing performance feedback and motivation.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as an Operations Manager or Supervisor.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Self-starter with a high level of accountability and attention to detail.
