About the position

As a Manager/Optician, you will leverage your expertise in optical experience to oversee and optimize the operations of the optical business. This role focuses on driving sales, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring accurate product recommendations while maintaining compliance with ophthalmology standards and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality eye care services to customers.
• Act as the owner and face of the optical business.
• Perform pre-exams and troubleshoot prescriptions.
• Close big sales and meet sales goals.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and explaining prescriptions.
• Create quotes for glasses and contact lenses.
• Help patients with financing options.
• Measure patients' eyes and faces, including the distance between pupils.
• Fill prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses from optometrists.
• Perform edging and blocking for same-day prescriptions.

Requirements

• Previous optical experience is required.
• 3 years of sales experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of optical terminology and products.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
