About the position

The Manager, Organization Design & Change Management at James Hardie Building Products is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing organization design, change management, and workforce planning initiatives that align with the company's business priorities. This position requires a strategic leader who can provide subject matter expertise to Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and business leaders, ensuring that human capital initiatives are effectively implemented. The manager will lead transformational projects that enhance organizational effectiveness and support the company's commitment to innovation and excellence in the building products industry. In this role, the manager will act as a subject matter expert, driving organizational design and change at the business level. They will identify and implement frameworks and best practices for organizational design, change management, and workforce planning, ensuring consistency across the organization. Regular organizational analytics will be performed to assess organizational health, providing robust insights to leaders and HRBPs to develop a strategic roadmap that meets business objectives. The manager will also conduct analyses to determine priorities and deliver against change management needs in collaboration with the Global Transformation Management Office (GTMO) and HRBPs. Utilizing organization design methodology, they will partner on organizational design efforts, focusing on strategy, structure, talent selection, transition delivery, and coaching. Additionally, the manager will work with stakeholders to develop strategic workforce planning processes for the enterprise and perform vendor needs assessments as required. Researching trends and innovations will be essential to provide strategic thought leadership on organizational design, change management, and workforce planning topics.

Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert to HRBPs driving organizational design and change at the business level.
  • Identify frameworks and best practices for organizational design, change management, and workforce planning; implement consistent practices across the organization.
  • Perform regular organizational analytics on organizational health to bring robust insights to leaders and HRBPs to develop a strategic roadmap to meet business objectives.
  • Conduct analysis to determine priorities and deliver against change management needs through partnership with GTMO and HRBPs.
  • Utilize organization design methodology to partner on org design efforts across the organization including strategy, structure, talent selection, transition delivery, and coaching.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop strategic workforce planning processes for the enterprise.
  • Perform vendor needs assessment and selection as required.
  • Research trends and innovations to provide strategic thought leadership on organizational design, change management, and workforce planning topics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a major in human resources preferred (must be from an accredited institution).
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience working in Human Resources, preferably within organization design and effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to prioritize and push back where required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility at all levels within the organization and influence senior leaders.
  • Strong business acumen.
