About the position

The Manager, Business Readiness and Organizational Change Management (OCM) is responsible for leading the development and execution of change management strategies and plans to ensure successful adoption and implementation of business technology initiatives. This role oversees the OCM process, guiding the business through change by managing the people side of change, ensuring that changes introduced by initiatives render intended results and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of change management strategies for technology initiatives.
  • Align leaders to strategic objectives and define engagement activities associated with technology delivery.
  • Promote buy-in and stakeholder engagement throughout the technology delivery process.
  • Facilitate the design and deployment of a role-based learning program for end users.
  • Define readiness and adoption criteria and assess readiness throughout the technology delivery.
  • Provide thought leadership and resource management for OCM across Power Delivery.
  • Advise leaders on managing stakeholders and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Develop measurement tools and KPIs to gauge the effectiveness of change programs.
  • Set team goals and provide coaching and feedback to direct reports.
  • Build relationships with external providers to supplement resources as needed.
  • Capture lessons learned and best practices to foster continuous improvement.
  • Model and support Safety Excellence and Human Performance initiatives.
  • Champion a culture that values safety, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Engineering, Human Resources, or a business-related field required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or management position with direct reports.
  • Proven ability to navigate in a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Experience in developing and leading change management strategies for transformation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in the utility or energy sector.
  • Change Management certification.
