About the position

As the Manager of Sales Operations at Invenergy, you will lead a team that supports origination and sales activities across various energy technologies, including onshore wind, solar, and storage. This role involves managing customer engagement, proposals, and market intelligence to drive sales and support utilities and large energy buyers. You will report to the Director of Sales Operations and work closely with a regional VP, making this an excellent opportunity for a leader passionate about the energy market.

Responsibilities

  • Create specific customer and market strategies in collaboration with various internal teams.
  • Develop targeted marketing and sales collateral to drive new business.
  • Understand customer needs through market intelligence and summarize strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of power markets and regulatory activities affecting customers.
  • Review customer RFPs and develop response strategies with the Origination and Development teams.
  • Execute comprehensive responses to customer RFPs, ensuring proposal accuracy and quality.
  • Manage operations and logistics related to sales, optimizing process efficiency.
  • Provide tools and guidance to a team of Associates and Analysts for proposals and market research.
  • Utilize technology tools like Microsoft Dynamics CRM and PowerBI to manage customer opportunities and proposals.
  • Coordinate with other Managers or Senior Managers in Sales Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years professional experience in the energy sector
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship.

  • Demonstrated experience in a sales, business development, and/or consulting role
  • MBA or similar advanced degree
  • Market research experience
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Renewable energy project development experience
  • Renewable energy project management or construction experience
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills
  • Ability to write effectively and communicate concisely
  • Outstanding problem solving, strategic thinking, verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative leader and team-player
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under time and pressure conditions.
