About the position

The Manager, Sales Operations will lead a team that supports origination and sales activities across various energy technologies, including onshore wind, solar, and storage. This role involves managing customer engagement, proposals, and market intelligence to drive new business and enhance customer relationships. The position requires collaboration with multiple internal teams and a strong understanding of the energy market.

Responsibilities

  • Create specific customer and market strategies in collaboration with Origination, Development, Regulatory Affairs, and internal strategy teams.
  • Develop targeted marketing and sales collateral to drive new business and customer engagement.
  • Understand customer needs through review of Integrated Resource Plans (IRPs) and market intelligence, summarizing these needs to synthesize strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of power markets and regulatory activities affecting customers and projects.
  • Review customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and develop response strategies with Origination and Development, presenting these strategies to management.
  • Execute comprehensive responses to customer RFPs, ensuring accuracy and quality of proposals.
  • Manage operations and logistics related to sales, optimizing process efficiency.
  • Provide tools and guidance to Associates and Analysts for customer proposals, presentations, and market research, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Utilize technology and software tools like Microsoft Dynamics CRM and PowerBI to manage customer opportunities and proposals effectively.
  • Coordinate with other Managers or Senior Managers in Sales Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years professional experience in the energy sector
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Demonstrated experience in a sales, business development, and/or consulting role
  • MBA or similar advanced degree
  • Market research experience
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Renewable energy project development experience
