About the position

The Manager of Outside Sales at Spectrum is responsible for leading a team of Residential Connectivity Sales Supervisors and their teams in a designated geographic area. This role focuses on managing daily operations to sell residential connectivity services, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience, and achieving sales goals. The manager will also be involved in staff selection, training, performance evaluation, and development, while fostering a positive and energetic team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Residential Connectivity Sales Supervisors and their teams.
  • Meet and exceed budgeted headcount and sales goals.
  • Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Monitor staff functions including selection, training, development, and performance evaluation.
  • Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable.
  • Identify knowledge and training gaps and develop plans to address them.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Prepare reports as needed and complete administrative tasks related to sales activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of Outside Sales or related work experience.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong technical and computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Direct Sales practices.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications service.
  • Sales supervisory experience preferred.
