The Manager of Outside Sales is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for leading a geographically assigned team of Residential Connectivity Sales Supervisors and their respective teams. This position is focused on managing daily operations that cater to our residential customers, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class services while actively soliciting new prospective customers. The ideal candidate will be a charismatic and enthusiastic leader, skilled in creating excitement and energy within the team, and adept at building and leading teams while developing the skills of others. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding budgeted headcount and sales goals. You will need to possess strong project management skills, enabling you to prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives in a fast-paced environment. As a leader, you will manage and monitor various functions related to staff, including selection, training, development, performance evaluation, discipline, termination, and salary/status change recommendations. Setting clear expectations and holding employees accountable in a consistent and fair manner is crucial to the success of this position. You will also be tasked with identifying knowledge and training gaps within your team and developing plans to address these gaps. Familiarity with reporting and analytics necessary to drive and support business decisions is essential. Collaboration with other departments and support teams will be key to achieving overall goals and objectives. The role involves a mix of fieldwork (approximately 30%) and office work (70%), requiring effective communication of territory assignments to Residential Connectivity Sales Supervisors and ensuring timely and accurate payroll processes. Additionally, you will complete administrative tasks related to all sales activities and ensure your team does the same. A detailed understanding of the company's product offerings and value propositions in the markets served is necessary, along with maintaining current knowledge of the marketplace, including competition, and fostering positive relationships with customers, business partners, and co-workers. You will prepare reports as needed and perform other duties as requested by leadership.
