About the position

The Manager of Outside Sales at Spectrum is responsible for leading a geographically assigned team of Residential Connectivity Sales Supervisors. This role focuses on managing daily operations to sell best-in-class services to residential customers, while actively enhancing the customer experience. The manager is tasked with meeting and exceeding sales goals, developing team skills, and ensuring accountability among team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Residential Connectivity Sales Supervisors and their teams.
  • Meet and exceed budgeted headcount and sales goals.
  • Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Monitor staff functions including selection, training, development, performance evaluation, and discipline.
  • Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable.
  • Identify knowledge and training gaps and develop plans to address them.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Prepare reports as needed and complete administrative tasks related to sales activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of Outside Sales or related work experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong technical and computer skills.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season and/or during inclement weather.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Direct Sales practices.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications service.
  • Sales Supervisory experience preferred.
