About the position

The Manager of Paid Media at Carter's Inc. plays a crucial role in executing and optimizing performance marketing and brand advertising campaigns for the company's portfolio of brands, which includes Carter's, OshKosh B'gosh, Skip*Hop, and Little Planet. This position requires a fundamental understanding of media planning and campaign activation, with a focus on Social, Influencer Marketing, and Affiliate marketing. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in media, preferably in a retail or agency setting, and will be passionate about driving growth in a fast-paced and ever-evolving media landscape. In this role, the Manager of Paid Media will assist in the strategic development of insights-driven paid media plans across various platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Rakuten, Collective Voice, and LTK. The individual will work closely with agency teams and cross-functional teams to oversee the end-to-end management of deliverables for paid social campaigns, ensuring timely delivery, budget accuracy, and creative messaging alignment. Responsibilities also include writing and overseeing the development of creative briefs, managing asset delivery, and attending weekly performance calls to review and approve campaign optimizations. The Manager will partner with Media and Analytics leads to set a testing roadmap for paid channels, manage channel budgets, and reconcile media expenditures. Additionally, the role involves leveraging data and analytics to monitor and optimize channel performance, ensuring proper setup and implementation of campaign tracking and tagging. This position typically reports to the Director of Media and is based in the Buckhead office, requiring in-office attendance four days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and optimize performance marketing and brand advertising campaigns for Carter's portfolio of brands.
  • Assist with the strategic development of insights-driven paid media plans across various media platforms.
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of deliverables for paid social campaigns, ensuring on-time delivery and budget accuracy.
  • Write and oversee the development of creative briefs for asset creation.
  • Manage trafficking and asset delivery between internal creative teams and agency.
  • Attend weekly performance calls and review campaign optimizations in alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with Media and Analytics leads to set testing roadmap for paid channels.
  • Manage channel budgets, including monthly reconciliation of media expenditures.
  • Monitor and report on campaign progress weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc as needed.
  • Leverage data and analytics to determine profitability and provide actionable insights regarding campaign performance.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in Social Media, Influencer, or Affiliate Marketing (brand or agency side).
  • Experience in Direct Mail is a plus.
  • 1-2+ years of experience managing entry-level direct reports.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and field requests from multiple internal stakeholders.
  • eCommerce & Retail experience is preferred.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to shift between competing priorities.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • A positive, professional attitude internally and externally.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
