About the position

The Manager of Paid Media will play a crucial role in executing and optimizing performance marketing and brand advertising campaigns for Carter's Retail Inc., which includes well-known brands such as Carter's, OshKosh B'gosh, Skip*Hop, and Little Planet. This position requires a deep understanding of media planning and campaign activation, with a focus on social media, influencer marketing, and affiliate marketing. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in media, preferably in a retail or agency setting, and will be passionate about driving growth in a fast-paced and ever-evolving media landscape. In this role, the Manager will assist in the strategic development of insights-driven paid media plans across various platforms, including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and others. The position involves day-to-day management of deliverables for paid social campaigns, ensuring timely delivery, budget accuracy, and creative messaging alignment. The Manager will also be responsible for writing and overseeing the development of creative briefs, managing the trafficking and delivery of assets between internal teams and agencies, and attending performance calls to review and approve campaign optimizations. Collaboration is key, as the Manager will work closely with agency teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on digital plans. Budget management is another critical aspect of the role, including monthly reconciliation of media expenditures and resolving any billing discrepancies. The Manager will leverage data and analytics to monitor and optimize channel performance, providing actionable insights regarding campaign effectiveness and operational testing. This position typically reports to the Director of Media and is based in the Buckhead office, requiring in-office attendance four days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and optimize performance marketing and brand advertising campaigns for Carter's Retail Inc.
  • Assist with the strategic development of insights-driven paid media plans across various platforms.
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of deliverables for paid social campaigns from implementation to optimization.
  • Write and oversee the development of creative briefs and manage asset delivery between internal teams and agencies.
  • Attend weekly performance calls and review campaign optimizations in alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with Media and Analytics leads to set testing roadmap for paid channels.
  • Build effective working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on digital plans.
  • Manage channel budgets, including monthly reconciliation of media expenditures and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Monitor and report on campaign progress weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc as needed.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in Social Media, Influencer, or Affiliate Marketing (brand or agency side).
  • 1-2+ years of experience managing entry-level direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

  • Experience in Direct Mail is a plus.
