About the position

The Manager of Paid Social Media at IHG Hotels & Resorts is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing strategic paid social media campaigns across various platforms. This role focuses on maximizing brand awareness, lead generation, and conversions while ensuring effective budget management and campaign performance analysis. The position requires a strong understanding of social media advertising trends and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve seamless campaign execution.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the thought leader and strategist for IHG's paid social media advertising efforts across all platforms.
  • Develop and implement a data-driven paid social media strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage campaign budgets effectively, allocating resources strategically to achieve optimal performance.
  • Utilize audience targeting tools to ensure ads reach the right people at the right time.
  • Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to maximize effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest paid social media trends, platforms, and best practices.
  • Generate comprehensive reports that measure campaign performance and provide actionable insights for future campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Creative Services, Content Marketing, and Media Effectiveness.
  • Manage relationships with social media advertising platform representatives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation, continually testing new approaches to paid social media advertising.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital, Advertising, Business or a relevant combination of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in paid social media management, with a focus on travel & hospitality (preferred).
  • Experience using various social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Proven success in managing large social media advertising budgets and maximizing performance.
  • Proven ability to analyze campaign performance data, identify optimization opportunities, and make data-driven adjustments.
  • Proven experience developing and managing successful paid social media campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of social media advertising platforms and targeting options.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with campaign management tools and reporting platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
  • Passion for social media and a keen understanding of how it can be leveraged to achieve marketing goals.
