About the position

The Manager of Paid Social at our growing advertisement agency will play a crucial role in managing client media buys across major social platforms such as Meta, X, Pinterest, TikTok, and others. This position is designed for a strategic thinker who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate tactics and strategies to clients. The role involves overseeing a team of Paid Social Buyers and Associates, ensuring that they are well-equipped to execute campaigns that meet client objectives. The Manager will be responsible for planning, buying, reporting, and analytics within the social platforms, making it essential to have a strong foundation in these areas. In this strategic role, the Manager will participate in discussions about campaign strategies, providing insights and recommendations based on their expertise. Collaboration with internal teams, including planning, buying, Ad Ops, and programmatic, is vital to communicate campaign goals and unique needs effectively. The Manager will create and manage both direct response and branding campaigns, analyzing campaign specifications such as budget, creative, audience targets, timing, and KPIs to provide clients with feedback on the most effective tactics and strategies. The position also requires optimizing media campaigns towards performance objectives and KPIs, attending in-person meetings with clients to communicate social media capabilities, and analyzing key metrics to modify strategies as needed. The Manager will compile and analyze campaign performance data, identify trends, and proactively recommend opportunities for improvement to both clients and internal teams. Staying current on the latest trends and developments in social media is essential to ensure that the agency remains competitive and innovative in its approach to paid social media management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead a team of Paid Social professionals, mentor and coach junior members of the team
  • Participate in strategy discussions, and voice opinions on tactics and strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams (planning, buying, Ad Ops, programmatic) to communicate campaign goals and unique needs
  • Create and manage direct response and branding campaigns across various social platforms
  • Analyze campaign specs (budget, creative, audience targets, timing, KPI's, etc.) and provide feedback to clients on most effective tactics and strategies
  • Optimize media campaigns towards performance objectives and KPI's
  • Attend in-person meetings with clients, and communicate social media capabilities and benefits as needed
  • Analyze key metrics and modify strategy as needed
  • Compile and analyze campaign performance, identify trends, and proactively recommend opportunities for improvement to present to clients as well as internal teams
  • Stay current on the latest trends and developments in social media

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in paid social media, either agency or client in-house
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to speak comfortably in front of clients; explain complex concepts
  • Ability to analyze social media metrics; and optimize media accordingly
  • Strong understanding of social platform algorithms, optimization levers, and ad products
  • Strong analytical skills, focusing on media performance and achieving results
  • Educate and train new team members in paid social strategy, creation, implementation and reporting
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with ease, prioritizing when necessary
  • Experience developing testing structures and compiling client-facing deliverables based on performance
