About the position

The Manager, Paid Social is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of paid social media campaigns, ensuring optimal performance through data-driven insights and financial accountability. This role involves collaborating with Media and Client Service teams to enhance client relationships and drive campaign success across various social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and optimization recommendations on respective accounts.
  • Extract and deliver data-driven insights for client reports throughout the campaign lifecycle.
  • Ensure all campaign builds are QA'd prior to launching, including QA'ing for other team members.
  • Maintain important documents like pacing sheets, strategy decks, and status sheets up to date and correct.
  • Utilize hands-on experience with social media platforms' Business Managers and Ad Accounts, including Meta, X, Pinterest, TikTok, and Snap.
  • Create audience recommendations and optimizations based on various targeting methods.
  • Manage large budgets and utilize tracking documents/tools like pacing sheets.
  • Monitor new search or social trends and evaluate their application to clients.
  • Drive paid social strategy and tactics to meet client goals, collaborating with account leads.
  • Attend internal and client meetings, communicating complex topics concisely to teams and clients.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members through training and guidance.
  • Prioritize and manage quarterly priorities and ad-hoc requests to ensure timely execution.
  • Problem-solve by finding solutions for unattempted issues.
  • Own relationships with agency partners like Facebook, Snapchat, and others for respective clients.
  • Share learnings and best practices across the organization.
  • Establish expertise within the functional department and client team.
  • Identify ways to improve team efficiency and effectiveness through new processes.
  • Propose proactive ideas to help meet client goals and grow business.
  • Consult, educate, and negotiate with clients and agency partners.
  • Communicate paid media insights, reporting, trends, and new initiatives effectively to clients and vendors.
  • Educate client teams on the latest trends, best practices, and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in Paid Social Media Marketing, including hands-on platform campaign management experience.
  • Experience in negotiating and constructing Social Media plans, with understanding of planning, buying, and activation.
  • Experience buying ads on social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Experience working with paid social ad-buying platforms, third-party ad-servers, and CRM data platforms is preferred.
  • Understanding of advanced analytics and performance media.
  • Passion for the latest social media developments, online behaviors, and trends.
  • Experience with social media management & social listening tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, networking, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • A sense of urgency and strong attention to detail.
