About the position

The Manager, Panel Services, EMR Data (Ophthalmology) will support and enhance the research and clinical trials offerings of the company. This role focuses on establishing and implementing an effective panel services strategy to drive growth and economic value. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development and operational delivery, with responsibilities including maintaining existing panel members, developing paid subscription products, and expanding the physician panel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing panel members and provide high-quality services to them.
  • Develop paid subscription products for practices to enhance revenue opportunities.
  • Work with other business areas to streamline time-consuming processes within practices.
  • Expand the number of physicians in the retina panel by demonstrating the value of services and overcoming resistance to data sharing.
  • Develop relationships with practice EMR platform providers and oversee BAAs with practices.
  • Identify opportunities to offer value-added services to panel members to reduce payment costs.
  • Lead the development of tools for managing, retaining, and expanding the practice network.
  • Introduce technology and automation to improve efficiencies in panel and trials management.
  • Lead the development of commercial solutions for physicians and practices.
  • Attend retinal-focused symposia and events for client engagement and physician growth.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in business building and operational delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Ability to present complex data analysis to clients in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to engage with medical professionals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with medical practices and experience working in or providing services to them.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare system, MIPS, and regulations related to data collection and billing processes.
  • Experience in retina or general ophthalmology.
  • Knowledge of clinical trials and research.
