About the position

The Manager of Partnership Sales is a pivotal role responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of strategic partnerships and sponsorships for Spartan Race events. This position requires a dynamic and results-oriented professional with a proven track record of identifying, prospecting, and closing new partnership opportunities. The successful candidate will be a skilled relationship builder, strategic thinker, and adept negotiator.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership sales strategy to identify and secure new partnerships and sponsorships for Spartan Race events.
  • Build and nurture a pipeline of potential partners, conducting thorough research and analysis to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand partner needs and objectives, developing customized proposals and pitches that align with partner goals.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial outreach and prospecting to negotiation, contract finalization, and onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at potential partner organizations, effectively communicating Spartan's value proposition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and fulfillment of partner commitments.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential partners, showcasing the benefits of partnership with Spartan Race.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, terms, and pricing to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market insights to inform partnership strategies and recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to track progress and drive accountability.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and identify new business opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and innovation within the partnership sales team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in partnership sales, business development, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully prospecting, negotiating, and closing partnership agreements.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM and sales software to manage leads, contacts, and opportunities.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated, with a passion for exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with legal and compliance considerations related to partnership agreements.
