The Manager of Patient Food Services I at UF Health is responsible for coordinating, directing, planning, and supervising the activities of the Patient Nutrition Supervisors. This role involves monitoring, evaluating, documenting, and reporting on the performance of the diet office and trayline employees, ensuring that quality food and nutrition services are provided to individual patients as prescribed by their physicians. The manager will direct employees in guest relations awareness and ensure compliance with local, state, and other regulatory rules, regulations, and laws. Additionally, the position requires the utilization of diet office computer software systems to manage operations effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, particularly within a hospital setting. They will be expected to implement programs that enhance food safety and infection control, as well as orient and train personnel to maintain high standards of service. The manager will also be responsible for ensuring that all food service operations adhere to Public Health codes and regulations, JCAHO standards, and the specific requirements of the hospital and department. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the quality of patient care through effective food service management.
