About The Position

Exelon is leading the energy transformation, and we're calling all problem solvers, innovators, community builders and change makers. The primary purpose of this position is to manage the bi-weekly and semimonthly payroll for 32,000 employees from start of the cycle to archive, including special payments issued quarterly and annually. This role serves as the primary point of contact for HR leads and Corporate Compensation for day-to-day activities and special requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, or 7-10 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability in training and in-depth knowledge of applicable payroll applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to delegate and lead a small team on specific tasks

Nice To Haves

• Oracle HCM Cloud experience
• Proficient in query writing
• Excellent analytical skills
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Manage the bi-weekly and semimonthly processing of payroll checks to archive, including Oracle HCM payroll configuration and report validation (35%)
• Coach, train, and supervise management (4 employees) on daily assignments and special tasks (including numerous off cycle runs during the year)
• Act as liaison between different groups and communicate/coordinate changes in process and procedures to Payroll Staff (20%)
• Manage exception processing and annual special payments for executives, serving as the primary point of contact for active and termed executives (15%)
• Assist with Payroll specific system changes and configuration, developing and implementing process improvements (15%)
• Provide business user sign off for all new configuration and system enhancements (5%)
• Responsible for miscellaneous tasks including BCP Coordinator, SME on Archiving, and primary contact with Check Print vendor (5%)
• Provide assistance and support with internal and external audit requests (5%)
