About the position

A Manager, Payroll at Swire Coca-Cola oversees the payroll team's operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations. They act as the main liaison with the HRIS vendor, maintain the payroll system's functionality, and educate both the HR team and employees about changes in payroll laws or procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop payroll team members to peak performance. Meet regularly with team for training and individually for coaching, development and performance checks. Monitor team and individual metrics to ensure goals are met
  • Oversee weekly payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payment to employees. Audit team's work for payroll process integrity
  • Manage vendor relationship and hold vendor accountable to service level agreements related to payroll processing, contact center and employee experience
  • Troubleshoot and ensure resolution of various escalated payroll issues in a timely manner including communication to final customer
  • Lead or contribute to various projects in various HR areas as assigned
  • Maintain alignment of payroll processes with Swire goals and culture. Suggest payroll process changes as needed. Prepare communications on process changes for HR team, managers, and general population
  • Review updates and changes to payroll module in HRIS system. Recommend HRIS configuration changes as needed. Assist with testing of new rules. Prepare communications on changes to HRIS system for HR team, managers, and employees
  • Continually monitor regulatory and legislative changes affecting payroll. Review impact and propose changes to system and processes as needed
  • Work with parent company regarding all payroll items for seconded employees, including new employee setup; annual bonus and pay increases; annual home leave payments; exchange rate adjustments; year-end reconciliation and documentation for tax audits
  • Serve as main contact for all audits of payroll functions. Provide documentation as needed to auditors. Assist with response to all audit findings. Ensure completion of all action items from audit findings

Requirements

  • Degree in business, finance, accounting, HR, or related area. 4 years of additional payroll experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 10+ years Payroll management experience
  • 4+ years with HRIS software
  • 2+ years experience in leadership role
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
