About the position

As the Manager, People Operations at Anduril Industries, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a global team responsible for critical HR operations. This includes managing employee data, optimizing HR systems, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and driving process improvements. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring that the needs of our employees are met efficiently while also spearheading initiatives that enhance our overall People Operations strategy. You will be the backbone of the People Operations team, working hands-on with your team to optimize HR systems, manage escalations, and ensure compliance while driving continuous improvement projects. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and execution, as you will be responsible for leading a team that is dedicated to delivering high-quality HR services across all functions. In this position, you will foster positive employee experiences and streamline processes to enhance service delivery. You will own and optimize multiple People Systems, ensuring their effectiveness and scalability. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to People Operations performance, such as response times and employee satisfaction metrics, will be a critical part of your responsibilities. You will also ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations across global locations, staying informed of changes and proactively addressing potential risks. Collaboration with legal and compliance teams will be necessary to create, update, and enforce policies that protect the organization. You will manage People Operations initiatives and projects from inception to successful completion, serving as the primary escalation point for complex HR Operations issues. Your role will involve collaborating cross-functionally with People Partners, Legal, Recruiting, and Finance to streamline and improve employee lifecycle processes, ensuring a consistent and positive experience from onboarding to offboarding. Regular audits will be conducted to ensure data accuracy and system compliance, and you will lead initiatives to address any operational gaps identified. Additionally, you will provide insights into People Operations performance trends through reports and dashboards, and develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows and user guides. Training HR team members and end-users on system functionality and best practices will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide insights into People Operations performance trends through reports and dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Train HR team members and end-users on system functionality, best practices, and workflows.
  • Facilitate cross-functional process mapping sessions to identify and address operational inefficiencies, collaborating with teams to enhance processes and implement programs that simplify the employee experience.
  • Develop and execute program management strategies in collaboration with other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical and functional expertise to influence project direction and success.
  • Build business cases for new projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Keep management and stakeholders informed of project statuses, system updates, and potential risks.
  • Analyze complex data sets to provide meaningful insights to HR leadership and stakeholders, identifying trends and informing decision-making.
  • Coordinate and report on People Operations activities, including cyclical tasks and special projects, ensuring clear communication flows within the People team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive leadership experience in HR or People Operations, demonstrating a strategic mindset in managing global teams and complex HR systems.
  • Proven track record in project management, policy design, and compliance enforcement, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Strong change management experience, adept at navigating and leading through organizational transitions.
  • Advanced analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex data sets and generating actionable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Proficiency in various People Operations platforms and data-driven decision-making tools, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in HR operations.
  • Exceptional communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • A genuine passion for management and developing employees, fostering a culture of continuous learning and personal and professional growth.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for identifying and mitigating potential risks or issues before they escalate.
