About the position

As the Manager of People Operations at Pomelo Care, you will play a crucial role in building and managing people processes that support the company's rapid growth. This position involves partnering with the Head of People to implement HR compliance, manage onboarding and offboarding, and oversee compensation and benefits administration. You will be instrumental in shaping the organization's culture and ensuring that people processes are efficient and effective as the company scales.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all people operations functions, including benefit and compensation administration, HRIS management, payroll, onboarding/offboarding, and leave management.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and update policies/procedures as required.
  • Develop and manage the benefits program and strategy, designing a competitive program for employees.
  • Utilize HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support broader people projects related to culture, DEI, retention, training, and performance management.
  • Promote an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace through team engagement initiatives.
  • Collect employee feedback to identify needs and implement solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement opportunities to simplify people processes and policies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of People Operations experience in high-growth environments.
  • Significant experience in benefits administration, systems administration, and compensation functions.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and best practices in HR.
  • Ability to work comfortably in ambiguous situations and build processes from scratch.
  • Strong operational thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in developing partnerships across all organizational levels, especially during growth phases.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HR metrics and data analysis.
