About the position

Anduril Industries is seeking a People Business Partner to join our team in Costa Mesa, California. This role is pivotal in enhancing our organizational capabilities and supporting our mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. As a People Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing strategic support across various functions, including Finance, Legal, and Core Operations. Your role will involve collaborating with senior leadership to develop and execute people strategies that align with our anticipated growth. You will serve as a trusted advisor, coach, and resource for managers and employees, helping to foster a positive work environment and improve employee relations. In this position, you will lead the design and implementation of new people programs while assessing and improving existing ones. You will utilize people metrics to drive insights and decisions related to talent attraction, growth, and retention. Your ability to build deep relationships and cultivate trust within the teams you support will be essential in driving organizational development and enhancing overall performance. You will also be responsible for managing complex employee relations issues, providing guidance on HR policies, and ensuring effective communication throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a data-driven mindset. You will be expected to communicate effectively, coach managers, and deliver feedback in a manner that builds trust and collaboration. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to business owners on people-related strategies and employee engagements
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to build, develop, and execute people strategies through our next iteration of anticipated growth
  • Coach and advise for best practices within the team
  • Develop deep relationships and cultivate trust with all parts of the teams you're supporting
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective investigations
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Coach Andurilans, functioning as an advocate and resource in resolving key employee issues while balancing the needs of the business
  • Lead the design, implementation, and iteration of new people programs, assessing and improving current programs
  • Utilize people metrics to drive key insights and decisions around growth and retention
  • Build data-driven and proactive processes to attract, grow and retain our talent

Requirements

  • 3+ years of HR Business Partner experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience across multiple HR/People channels such as compensation & benefits, compliance, employee relations, and learning and development
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure, outcome-oriented environments
  • Clear, empathetic, and effective communicator who understands differences in others and adjusts their approach accordingly
  • Effective partner and coach to managers and leaders; delivers feedback and challenging information in a way that builds trust and collaboration
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Data-driven and detail-oriented
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
