About the position

Coordinates delivery of nuclear medicine and PET services. Works closely with Divisional Director and radiologists to supervise and perform technical procedures in the department and coordinates day-to-day activity of patient flow and resource scheduling activities. Completes employee annual evaluations in a timely manner and is responsible for departmental staffing and on-call personnel. Works cooperatively and communicates appropriate patient information to all health care personnel. Directs employees and supplies to achieve an established standard of care within proper protocols designed for nuclear medicine/PET imaging. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Assures appropriate patient care management and adjusts daily operations to meet the needs of a changing working environment. Assumes responsibility of monitoring and reporting equipment needs to appropriate individuals including informing Director of down time. The individual is expected to exercise appropriate independent judgment within the scope of practice of nuclear medicine/PET and established policies and procedures of Children's Hospital. As the Nuclear Medicine/PET Supervisor, in addition to the specific responsibilities outlined below, you are expected to demonstrate exemplary leadership skills. Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved school of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Two years of experience in Nuclear Medicine/PET in pediatric imaging or one year of supervisory experience.
  • One year experience in Quality Assurance activities.
  • One year experience with a Picture Archiving and Communication system.
  • One year experience with a Radiology Information system.
  • ARRT or NMTCB Certified.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
