Responsibilities

• Demonstrated knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management
• Develop and implement Strategic Sourcing strategies for assigned Commodities
• Assess Current & Future Requirements by mapping direct and indirect requirements and working with cross functional teams
• Identify multiple potential suppliers who can meet requirements and assess their reliability, reputation, financial stability, production capacity, and quality control
• Negotiate long-term contracts with selected suppliers to provide stability and assurance of supply
• Manage schedule and task details using project management tools
• Ensure all key suppliers have executed Supply Master Agreements and are completing monthly scorecards
• Ensure the supply base is capable of handling volume requirements, including surge requirements
• Manage long-term partnerships by implementing supplier development strategies
• Engage key business stakeholders in Operations strategic planning, supplier development, and field service improvements
• Lead internal Onto Commodity Council with key stakeholders
• Drive strategic procurement initiatives to optimize supply, risk mitigation, flexibility, quality improvement, and improvements in lead time and cost
• Analyze existing processes and communications with suppliers to improve information flow
• Provide oversight of procurement related activities for suppliers
• Be actively engaged in the development and execution of ECO's with the supply base
• Ensure the supply base is managing and executing Supplier Quality Actions and return to vendor transactions
• Coordinate and lead QBR with Key Suppliers for assigned Commodities
• Develop short & long-term strategies using market analysis, user requirements, and company objectives
• Understand quantitative techniques relevant to sourcing functions
• Identify make vs. buy opportunities and drive alignment with key stakeholders
• Drive the evaluation of supplier performance and collaborate with leadership at suppliers
• Negotiate and formalize supplier agreements
• Develop and implement a Sourcing/Operations strategy for New Product introduction
• Collaborate with engineering team to understand engineering requirements and communicate to suppliers
• Work with engineering to identify critical parts and inspection requirements
• Ensure product lifecycle programs are meeting material cost targets and Gross Margin targets
• Provide engineering and business process expertise to team on complex programs/issues.

Requirements

• BA in Business, preferred Supply Chain or other quantitative field, or comparable experience
• Minimum of 10+ years of operational experience with at least 5 years in a successful Supply Chain management role
• Good working knowledge of ERP systems
• Able to establish relationships and trust within the organization and the supply base
• Highly motivated self-starter with outstanding quantitative skills
• Strong negotiating skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work and negotiate internally to reset timelines based on changing priorities.
