About the position

The Plant Finance Manager at Bimbo Bakeries USA is responsible for providing fiduciary oversight for plant financial statements and developing strong business partnerships with plant and regional leadership. This role involves managing costs, supporting productivity results, creating budgets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The manager will also oversee capital investment projects and provide analytical support for manufacturing decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide fiduciary oversight for plant spending and validate the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Proactively manage costs and guide the management team to meet financial goals.
  • Support the plant management team in driving productivity results and tracking outcomes.
  • Create annual budgets and periodic forecasts for the plant.
  • Support the development of finished good standard costs including material and resource requirements.
  • Assist in the monthly accounting close and post-close cycles, including generating accruals and adjusting entries.
  • Identify causal factors driving plant performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee plant operational activities and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Support the development and approval of Capital Investment projects and monitor their progress.
  • Provide project support and ad hoc analysis for manufacturing decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (MBA preferred)
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
  • Extensive knowledge of Manufacturing ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple goals and tactics
