About the position

The Manager, Portfolio & Change Management plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the Talent & Organizational Effectiveness (T&OE) Center of Excellence (COE) delivers on its strategic objectives. This position is essential for managing the portfolio of COE deliverables in a cohesive manner, which enables seamless delivery and a unified experience for all stakeholders, including employees, people leaders, and business partners. The individual in this role will be responsible for driving Change Management, Organizational Development, and Project Management capabilities forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. This involves close collaboration with COE leads across various functions such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and Development, DEI People Strategy, and Digital Talent, as well as P&C Tech Partners to ensure alignment with the collective priorities for 2024. In this role, the Manager will enable the execution of COE team priorities in alignment with the broader P&C people strategy and Mastercard's vision. This includes supporting the proper execution of COE initiatives by managing an integrated roadmap, acting as a technology liaison to ensure the feasibility of T&OE go-to-market plans, and actively tracking and prioritizing the COE's product portfolio. The Manager will establish mechanisms to monitor progress and identify opportunities for continual process improvement, providing insights into capacity and utilization to strategically align business priorities. Additionally, the role may involve providing change management, organizational development, and project management support for various strategic initiatives across Mastercard. The Manager will also be responsible for creating plans, roadmaps, assessments, analyses, presentations, and other materials as required for various activities. This position requires a strong background in product, project, and portfolio management, with extensive knowledge of project management tools and experience in managing transformational initiatives across a matrixed organization. The ideal candidate will possess business acumen, a stakeholder management mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and locations, influencing without authority at various organizational levels. Experience in Agile development and design thinking, as well as certifications in Operational Excellence or Project Management, are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the portfolio of COE deliverables in an integrated manner to ensure seamless delivery and a cohesive experience for stakeholders.
  • Enable the execution of COE team priorities in alignment with the P&C people strategy and Mastercard's vision.
  • Support the execution of COE priorities and initiatives by managing an integrated roadmap.
  • Act as the technology liaison between the T&OE COE and the Technology team to ensure feasibility of T&OE go-to-market plans.
  • Track and prioritize the COE's product portfolio, establishing mechanisms to monitor progress and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provide capacity and utilization insights to enable strategic alignment across business priorities.
  • Provide additional change management, organizational development, and project management support for strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Create plans, roadmaps, assessments, analyses, presentations, and additional materials for various activities.

Requirements

  • Significant direct product, project, and portfolio management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management tools supporting enterprise-wide priorities.
  • Experience with change management, organizational development, and project management across transformational initiatives.
  • Strong track record of managing and prioritizing a cross-functional portfolio of projects, with emphasis on go-to-market approaches.
  • Business acumen with a stakeholder management mindset and ability to collaborate across a matrixed organization.
  • Agile development and design thinking experience is a plus.
  • Operational Excellence or Project Management Certification is a plus.
