About the position

As a Manager, Portfolio Solutions Consultant at Charles Schwab, you will play a crucial role in providing clients with comprehensive wealth management solutions. This position emphasizes a team-based approach to financial planning, where you will engage with clients to understand their financial needs and objectives, offering tailored advice and recommendations. Your responsibilities will include client consultations, portfolio strategy development, and business development to enhance client relationships and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients via scheduled phone-based interactions to engage in financial planning and discovery conversations.
  • Serve as a product expert for a variety of managed account solutions.
  • Prepare for client appointments by reviewing previous interactions and financial plan details.
  • Quickly build rapport with clients and conduct discovery conversations to understand their financial needs.
  • Provide education regarding financial planning and investment topics, focusing on retirement, investment, education, banking, lending, and insurance.
  • Demonstrate the value of partnering with an investment professional as clients' financial circumstances evolve.
  • Recommend and enroll clients into managed solutions based on their individual plans.
  • Apply a consultative approach to assess and determine appropriate solutions for clients' goals.
  • Manage client appointments and personal calendar for efficient engagement with clients.
  • Conduct follow-up activities to introduce clients to internal specialists based on their needs.

Requirements

  • Active FINRA Series 7 license
  • Active FINRA Series 66 or 63 & 65 licenses
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience
  • 3 years of financial services experience
