About the position

The Power Sales Manager is responsible for managing and developing the Three Phase Power team within the North and South Carolina sales offices. This role involves assigning end-user accounts and contractors, ensuring the team is trained on relevant equipment, and developing growth plans to capture market share. The manager will also maintain relationships with strategic Electrical Contractors, Consultants, and End Users, while overseeing all AC Power, Distribution, and Vertiv Switchgear sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all AC Power Sales employees and their relationships with Contractors, Consultants, Resellers, and End-Users.
  • Develop and manage the AC Power Sales Plan to achieve company assigned quotas.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain healthy relationships with other offices.
  • Develop new and expand existing AC Power accounts.
  • Lead the AC Power team in identifying, negotiating, and closing power product opportunities.
  • Manage post-sale activities to meet customer and consultant requirements.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years' experience in sales management or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of the AC Power, UPS, Distribution, and Switchgear industry in Data Center and IT applications.
  • Strong knowledge of the Vertiv AC Power, UPS, Distribution, and Switchgear portfolio.
  • Experience in managing opportunity pipelines using CRM tools.
  • Proven experience in large account sales and account management.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, CRM tools, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Business to business outside sales experience preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical contractors, consultants, and end users for Data Center applications.
