About the position

The Power Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing the Three Phase Power team in the North and South Carolina sales offices. This role involves managing end-user accounts and contractors, ensuring the team is trained on relevant equipment, and developing strategies to expand the market for 3 Phase UPS, Energy Storage, Distribution, and Vertiv Switchgear. The Power Sales Manager will work closely with the General Manager to create growth plans, maintain relationships with strategic partners, and oversee all sales activities related to AC Power, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all AC Power Sales employees and their relationships with Contractors, Consultants, Resellers, and End-Users.
  • Develop and implement the AC Power Sales Plan to achieve assigned quotas and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and foster healthy relationships with other offices.
  • Develop new accounts and expand existing AC Power accounts.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients as a trusted advisor, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.
  • Lead the AC Power team in identifying, negotiating, and closing power product opportunities, while facilitating cross-selling.
  • Oversee post-sale activities to meet customer requirements and maximize profitability.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years' experience in sales management or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the AC Power, UPS, Distribution, and Switchgear industry, particularly in Data Center and IT applications.
  • Proven experience in large account sales and account management in a similar industry.
  • Experience with CRM tools and managing opportunity pipelines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, CRM, and database tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Business to business outside sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of critical support equipment operations for both power and mechanical products.
