About the position

The Manager of Practice Virtual Health is responsible for overseeing the operations of the practice to ensure a patient-centered environment that meets the goals of Advocate Medical Group (AMG). This role involves collaborating with the Director of Physician Practice Management and physician leadership to enhance patient satisfaction through various initiatives, including the availability of same-day appointments and adherence to test result reporting guidelines. The manager will actively engage with patients and staff to foster a positive experience, analyze patient feedback, and implement improvement plans based on satisfaction scores. In addition to patient satisfaction, the manager will establish procedures for delivering quality patient care in compliance with AMG and regulatory standards. This includes monitoring health outcome indicators, ensuring staff compliance with safety protocols, and collaborating with various departments to facilitate education and compliance. The manager will also coordinate health outcome-related programs and develop process changes to meet organizational goals. Financial oversight is another critical aspect of this role, as the manager will monitor budgets, physician productivity, and fiscal operations of assigned cost centers. This includes maintaining knowledge of payment plans, ensuring accurate billing practices, and working with various departments to manage operating expenses effectively. The manager will also be responsible for creating an operationally efficient environment that supports physician engagement and satisfaction, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Human resources administration is a key responsibility, where the manager will handle recruitment, performance reviews, and staff development to create a motivated workforce. The manager will also drive growth initiatives to enhance practice retention and patient acquisition, working closely with the Director and physician leadership to implement new programs and marketing strategies. Overall, this position requires a dynamic leader who can navigate the complexities of healthcare management while maintaining a focus on patient care and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Director and physician leadership to maintain a patient-centered environment.
  • Achieves patient satisfaction scores consistent with AMG and practice site goals.
  • Actively rounds on patients and associates to create and maintain a positive patient experience.
  • Reviews and analyzes patient comments and monitors satisfaction scores.
  • Communicates patient satisfaction goals and objectives to all associates and physicians.
  • Implements patient satisfaction improvement plans based on feedback.
  • Monitors health outcome indicators and carries out ongoing process improvements.
  • Partners with director and physician leadership to ensure accurate documentation of patient care services.
  • Supports and maintains a Culture of Safety by monitoring patient and safety events.
  • Coordinates and audits health outcome-related programs and ensures staff education on initiatives.
  • Ensures financial success of practice by monitoring budget and physician productivity.
  • Participates in planning and administration of annual budget for assigned departments.
  • Works with various departments to ensure efficient operations and cost management.
  • Builds relationships with other departments to assure operational effectiveness.
  • Implements policies and procedures for effective operations.
  • Assists in the orientation of new physicians and manages physician services.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate AMG initiatives and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Facilitates growth initiatives to enhance practice retention and patient acquisition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of practice management components including billing, performance standards, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to supervise professional and non-professional associates and promote staff development.
  • Ability to work well with a variety of professionals at all levels of the healthcare system.
  • Basic computer skills.
