About the position

The Manager of Precision Oncology Specialty Sales at Exact Sciences is responsible for leading a team of sales representatives focused on oncology products within the designated Great Lakes region. This role emphasizes driving sales results, leadership, planning, project management, and people development, ensuring that the team meets or exceeds sales quotas while fostering a culture of growth and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Precision Oncology sales representatives and manage account activity for select products.
  • Drive sales results and develop strategic business plans for the region.
  • Establish quality working relationships with key departments to support company goals.
  • Provide feedback to Sales and Managed Care regarding contracting and pricing strategies.
  • Stay informed on scientific developments and competitive dynamics affecting the business.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and legal standards.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional committees such as Incentive Compensation and Marketing.
  • Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the region.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive business plan for the region.
  • Track performance against revenue and budget targets and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Supervise staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage team development.
  • Communicate goals clearly to ensure team understanding and success.
  • Motivate and inspire employees through effective coaching and support.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management, particularly in oncology or related fields.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance management.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with KOLs and internal departments.
  • Knowledge of competitive dynamics and emerging opportunities in the oncology market.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with NextGen Sequencing and Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) testing.
  • Familiarity with comprehensive genomic profiling and liquid biopsy techniques.
  • Existing relationships with cancer centers.
