About the position

The Pricing Transformation and Enablement team at PayPal is seeking a Pricing Enablement Manager to spearhead critical pricing initiatives on a global scale. This role is pivotal in ensuring that pricing strategies are effectively implemented across various PayPal products and services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in program management, with a keen ability to communicate and influence a diverse range of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. The Pricing Enablement Manager will be responsible for planning and executing global pricing initiatives, establishing clear roles and responsibilities among various teams including Legal, Product, Analytics, Finance, Strategy, Compliance, and Customer Service. In this role, the manager will translate complex requirements into actionable project plans, proactively ensuring that projects remain on track and deliver successful outcomes. They will serve as a key thought partner in the implementation of pricing strategies and related promotions, providing consultative guidance on best practices while coordinating workflows across a larger resource pool. The manager will also oversee the fee page update process, managing timelines for the consolidation, development, quality assurance, and launch of PayPal pricing pages. This includes leading planning and prioritization meetings, identifying cross-functional dependencies, and mitigating risks to ensure that teams meet business timelines. Additionally, the Pricing Enablement Manager will maintain documentation on pricing-related issues and support remediation efforts by coordinating with subject matter experts. They will establish project health reporting metrics and templates to track progress and communicate project status at established intervals. As the Pricing Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cross-functional projects, the manager will embody the vision and values of the broader Pricing Enablement and Transformation team, demonstrating a willingness to support various initiatives as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead the execution of global pricing initiatives across PayPal.
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities across various stakeholder teams.
  • Translate requirements into clear project plans and ensure projects are on-track.
  • Provide consultative guidance on best practices for pricing implementation.
  • Manage the fee page update process, including timelines for development and launch.
  • Lead planning and prioritization meetings, identifying dependencies and risks.
  • Maintain documentation on pricing-related issues and support remediation efforts.
  • Establish project health reporting metrics and track progress.
  • Communicate project status at established cadences.
  • Act as the Pricing Subject Matter Expert in cross-functional projects.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in project management within Finance, Pricing, Product, or related fields.
  • Ability to simplify complex pricing projects into understandable steps.
  • High attention to detail and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Excellent verbal communication and coordination skills with global stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of business KPIs, analytics, metrics, and data flows.
  • Highly skilled in project management tracking and organization.
