About the position

As a Manager in Process Development & Engineering at Mondelēz International, you will play a pivotal role in leading the future of snacking by overseeing critical technical areas within the RDQ process development function. Your expertise will be essential in identifying, defining, and solving complex technical and business problems. You will work as part of a cross-functional team, recognized internally for your technical knowledge, and will be responsible for the delivery of assigned programs that align with business objectives. Your role will involve supporting new programs and platforms, ensuring that the right solutions are developed, and identifying future breakthrough opportunities. You will be accountable for the technical outcomes of process development activities, including process design, specifications, scale-up, and commissioning. Additionally, you will quantify technical risks associated with your projects and those led by others, providing recommendations and influencing senior stakeholders in business decision-making. In this leadership position, you will develop and leverage connections both internally and with external technical partners. You will create a culture that fosters intellectual property development to drive competitive advantage, manage a team of process developers, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to establish resource and budget needs. Your strategic leadership will be crucial in your process technology area and process development programs, and you will also mentor and coach others to cultivate technical talent within the organization. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that foundational skills and capabilities keep pace with technological advancements, while promoting a culture of technical curiosity, learning, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of assigned programs linked to business objectives.
  • Support technically focused projects and guide activities led by others.
  • Ensure the development of the right solutions and identify future breakthrough opportunities.
  • Accountable for the technical outcomes of process development activities, including process design and specifications.

Requirements

  • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Food Engineering.
  • 8-10 years of experience in process development, ideally within a fast-moving consumer goods environment.
  • Strong technical foundation and a high level of technical curiosity.
  • Experience in leading process development teams and influencing category leads and cross-functional leaders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced global commercial and technical environment.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring others.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in planning site capital investment and process equipment maintenance strategy.
  • Familiarity with pilot plant capability for safety, quality improvements, and infrastructure.
  • Experience in providing engineering solutions for Biscuit/Jellies process/product.
  • Knowledge of tracking and maintaining site budgets related to maintenance and facilities.
  • Experience in partnering with HSE leads on safety needs and Quality leads to ensure compliance with HACCP and QPs.
