About the position

The Sr. Manager, Product Development & Procurement is a key leader in the Aerospace division at Rexnord Industries. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing the company's strategic vision, providing procurement support for new product development projects, and collaborating with Sales, Engineering, and key customers. The position also involves implementing SIOP initiatives and improvements across the Aerospace Division, ensuring effective supply chain management and alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Owner of Supply Chain Management Excellence for Aerospace division.
  • Key member of the New Product Development cross-functional teams, ensuring successful product launches.
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain policies for product placement, lifecycle changes, and product discontinuation.
  • Work with Regional Supply Chain and Materials Teams to analyze supply base capacity and establish optimal supply chain design.
  • Align and facilitate action plans with teams, maintaining timelines and customer delivery dates.
  • Partner with Materials Leaders to understand customer demand and translate it into accurate forecasts.
  • Identify cost-to-serve options and align with business teams to optimize profitability.
  • Analyze new material additions for master data compliance and coordinate with Purchasing and Operations.
  • Coordinate and improve the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
  • Interact with Sales to coordinate production plans to meet customer demand.
  • Lead scheduling discussions with Sales, Supply Chain, and Production for a rolling 6-month outlook.
  • Key stakeholder in the forecasting process and Demand Planning initiative.
  • Perform inventory analysis and understand sourcing requirements.
  • Report on Supply Chain KPIs and actions taken to improve performance.
  • Act as a liaison between Customer Service, Sales Administration, Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Logistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, SCM, Project Management or similar from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of ten years of Supply Chain experience, particularly in new product development and lifecycle management.
  • Strong project management skills with effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and manufacturing reports.
  • Demonstrated experience in Sales, Inventory and Operations (SIOP) Planning.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Access, Project, and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing background.
  • Technical knowledge to read design prints and specifications.
