About the position

The Manager of Procurement Operations at Highmark Health is responsible for overseeing the organization's procurement operations and managing various procurement workstreams. This role involves collaborating with functional areas to ensure efficient procurement processes, driving productivity improvements, and implementing procurement technology strategies. The incumbent will lead a team, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure compliance with procurement policies while focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the organization's procurement operations and assigned workstreams.
  • Collaborate with functional areas such as Accounts Payable and Finance to deliver high-quality procurement operations.
  • Drive productivity improvements in procurement operations and influence partners to enhance the supply chain.
  • Lead the implementation of Supply Chain Management Enterprise Resource Planning (SCM ERP) and guide continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop and monitor procurement technology strategies and related projects.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to ensure timely delivery of services and compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Lead supplier enablement capabilities including EDI and XML implementation.
  • Conduct P2P training and user support for the enterprise.
  • Maintain accurate vendor information in procurement systems to support sourcing analytics and strategies.
  • Manage stakeholder alignment and satisfaction, developing effective working relationships with business partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, Industrial Engineering or similar field, or four years of relevant experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a procurement role.
  • 1 year of experience in Request-to-Pay procurement operations processes.
  • 3 years of experience leading cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or similar field.
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification.
