About the position

The Manager, Product and Solutions Marketing - Strategic Accounts at Cardinal Health plays a crucial role in shaping the marketing strategy for the Strategic Accounts pharmacy business. This position is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions, and competition to inform business strategy. The marketing team implements this strategy by developing, commercializing, and monitoring appropriate products and services. The role involves defining the product/service and market strategy, managing the product life cycle, and ensuring that customer needs are identified through market research. The ultimate goal is to drive customer loyalty, sales growth, and improved profitability. In this dynamic environment, the Manager will lead the execution of major marketing campaigns that support the brand, enhance customer experience, and grow market share within the National Markets & Alternate Care classes-of-trade. This includes the implementation of value propositions and core messaging to build awareness and establish thought leadership. The role requires a proactive and curious self-starter who can build strong cross-functional relationships and bring solid marketing and brand development skills to the Pharmacy Marketing team. The Manager will work closely with various teams, including Sales, Solution Marketing & Operations, Market Intelligence and Analytics, Communications, Legal, Compliance, and Digital & Social Media teams. This position is accountable for the execution of tactical marketing efforts, including advertising, content development, social media, and other communication strategies aimed at current and prospective customers. Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders and sales team to support the development and execution of strategic marketing and tactical plans designed to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead execution of integrated marketing and external communications plans to pull through value proposition and messaging.
  • Manage and execute tradeshow strategy for National Markets & Alternate Care.
  • Develop and manage marketing campaigns designed to achieve defined business objectives with target audiences to drive awareness and reinforce our value proposition.
  • Execute market research projects, including brand equity tracking, ongoing competitive landscape assessment, market segmentation, and ad hoc market research.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints, developing reporting dashboards to track progress towards goals.
  • Define budgetary requirements, track expenses, and consistently seek cost savings and efficiency opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Indirect Procurement team to establish Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs), and evaluate external agencies when needed.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience preferred
  • BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field strongly preferred
  • Advanced Degree preferred
  • Medical device, healthcare marketing, advertising agency, and/or product management experience preferred
  • An innovative, self-starter who sees ‘ambiguity' as an opportunity and thrives on challenging conventional thinking
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments, flexible and able to adapt to changing scenarios
  • Results-driven marketer passionate about demonstrating value to stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized with exceptional project management skills
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets
  • Ability to work well independently and lead a team of stakeholders across multiple internal teams and geographies
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Ability to be on-site on average 3 days a week, preferred
  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time.
