About the position
Figma is seeking a Design Manager to lead the Design Experience team, responsible for the Figma editor and its features related to editing and design systems. This role involves managing a team of designers, collaborating with Product and Engineering leads, and advocating for product areas within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical skills and people management experience, with a focus on quality and execution.
Responsibilities
- Manage and hire a group of world-class designers of all experience levels
- Partner with Product and Engineering leads to build great products and improve team processes
- Develop a perspective on product areas and advocate for it across the organization
- Run and improve team processes like critiques and sprints
- Advance personal skills in people management in a supportive environment
Requirements
- 3+ years of people management experience in Product Design
- Experience working on technical products or complex systems
- Exceptional skills as a craftsperson with the ability to teach others
