About the position

The Manager, Product Design - Designer Experience at Figma is responsible for leading the Design Experience team, which focuses on the Figma editor and its related features. This role involves managing and hiring talented designers, collaborating with Product and Engineering leads, and advocating for product areas within the organization. Responsibilities

• Manage and hire a group of world-class designers of all experience levels
• Partner deeply with Product and Engineering leads to build great products and improve team processes
• Develop a perspective on product areas and advocate for it across the organization
• Run and improve team processes like critiques and sprints
• Advance personal skills in people management in a growth-oriented environment

Requirements

• 3+ years of people management experience in Product Design
• Experience working on technical products or complex systems (e.g., editing tools, word processors)
• Exceptional skills as a craftsperson with the ability to teach others
