About the position

L'Oréal USA is seeking a dynamic and passionate Product Development Manager for the Amazon Analytics Seller Insights team within the Corporate Digital Marketing Office. This role is pivotal in developing enterprise analytics and technological capabilities that support the rapid growth of L'Oréal's eCommerce initiatives. The Amazon Tech Accelerator, launched in 2020, is an advanced analytics tool that integrates over 50 million data points to measure eCommerce inputs from retail partners, transforming insights into actionable strategies that drive executional excellence. As the Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with engineers and analytics experts to create top-tier performance measurement and visualization tools for the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and Seller Central operations. This position requires a keen understanding of the evolving selling models and the extensive data management necessary to propel the business forward. You will analyze operational, sales, advertising, and financial data to identify opportunities and develop a roadmap for immediate and future enhancements. Your role will involve becoming a functional expert in the challenges of managing an FBA business at scale, conducting exploratory analyses to identify long-term trends and competitive benchmarks, and ensuring the integrity of reporting pipelines. You will take ownership of product enhancements and reporting across all FBA elements, while also identifying innovative opportunities to support strategic needs and daily operations. This multifaceted position demands strong communication and project management skills to effectively engage with key stakeholders and shape analytical deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Become a functional expert on challenges of running an FBA business at scale and identify analytic capabilities & product features needed.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis to identify long-term trends and competitive benchmarks for optimizing supply chain, sales, and advertising performance.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure successful onboarding of new brand data sources and maintain reporting integrity.
  • Take ownership of building, creating, and testing product enhancements and reporting across all FBA elements of the business.
  • Identify opportunities to support strategic needs and day-to-day operations of running an Amazon FBA business through new capabilities, automation, and third-party vendors.

Requirements

  • Educational background in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, or Finance.
  • 3-6+ years of industry experience in data analysis with proven analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Looker, etc.).
  • Ability to write SQL and manipulate large data sets in a database is a plus.
  • Proven problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Experience managing or supporting an Amazon business via FBA is a plus.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced analytics methodologies and business intelligence technologies.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce growth strategies and performance metrics.
