About the position

The Manager of Product Development for Kobe Footwear at Nike is responsible for leading the product development team to create high-performance footwear products. This role involves collaboration with various functional partners throughout the product development process, ensuring that projects meet design intent, performance goals, and sustainability targets. The manager will navigate the Nike matrix to uphold product excellence standards and will serve as the key point of contact for overseas partners during the development process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Kobe Development team to drive product excellence for the Kobe brand.
• Collaborate with key functional partners throughout the product development process.
• Manage complex footwear projects from concept to commercialization.
• Apply expert knowledge of footwear technical aspects to drive product creation teams.
• Ensure projects are completed on time while meeting design intent and performance goals.
• Engage in all phases of the product process to enhance product excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Product Development, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Industrial Design, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of directly applicable work experience in product development.
• High profile communication and influencing skills to interact with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of footwear manufacturing technologies, tooling, and materials is highly preferred.
• Understanding of product planning, forecasting, and process planning.
