About the position

The Manager, Product Development & Production at Fashion Nova is responsible for overseeing the organization and management of samples and purchase orders within the Product Development team. This role involves coordinating fit appointments, managing vendor communications, and ensuring the timely tracking of product development from order to shipment. The position plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of the product development process, particularly in the denim, non-denim, tops, and bottoms categories.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and fabric sourcing for on-trend product development.
• Issue purchase orders to factories based on product development information.
• Track orders from purchase order to shipment on the work-in-progress (WIP) track.
• Attend sample fittings to ensure accuracy and provide feedback through fit comments.
• Manage all vendor communications from the Product Development team.
• Identify and raise issues pre-purchase order to the Product Development and Design teams.
• Track daily sample counts to prioritize the development queue effectively.
• Coordinate with vendors to update on fit samples and schedules.
• Collaborate with the Fit Team to manage vendor and live model fit times.
• Send daily recaps for all samples including PD, Fit, PP, and TOP.
• Maintain organization of the Library with the Library Team.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in product development or production management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for vendor interaction and team collaboration.
• Ability to conduct market research and fabric sourcing effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the fashion industry, particularly in denim and apparel production.
• Familiarity with e-commerce and social commerce models.
• Knowledge of fit and sample fitting processes.
