About the position

The Manager, Product Development at ColourPop is responsible for overseeing the development of new cosmetic formulas across various categories, including eye, lip, and complexion products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that product launches meet revenue goals and adhere to performance and positioning attributes outlined in development briefs. The position requires a strong understanding of cosmetic chemistry and raw materials, as well as knowledge of packaging and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage new formula development across all categories: eye, lip, and complexion.
• Drive development to meet new launch revenue goals by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee concept development, brief kickoff, formula development, testing, scale-up, and first production approvals.
• Ensure all performance and product positioning attributes are met as outlined in the development brief.
• Work closely with formulators, leveraging a thorough understanding of raw materials and cosmetic chemistry.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field.
• 5-8 years of experience in a Product Development role, specifically in Color Cosmetics.
• Familiarity with manufacturing settings and contract manufacturers.
• Experience working directly with R&D labs.
• Knowledgeable about raw materials and formulation processes.
• Ability to travel internationally 3-4 times per year.
