About the position

The Electromechanical Project Engineer Lead will oversee a team responsible for supporting Global Supply Chain (GSC) production lines and localization projects. This role involves ensuring product compliance with regulatory standards, executing design changes, conducting engineering analyses, and leading Circuit Breaker projects. The position requires collaboration with various functions and stakeholders to ensure product quality and performance while adhering to customer expectations and supply chain constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Electromechanical Project Engineers.
  • Support Global Supply Chain Manufacturing Plants in North America.
  • Audit manufacturing facilities to ensure product compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Validate bills of materials and CAD drawings according to technical specifications.
  • Execute assigned product design changes using dedicated tools.
  • Conduct engineering analysis activities including Thermal, Electromagnetic, Dynamical, and Structural analyses.
  • Create and execute verification & validation plans in laboratories and analyze results.
  • Lead internal and external customer returns analysis.
  • Coordinate project scheduling, planning, and safety reviews for Circuit Breaker projects.
  • Design offers from technical specifications to meet customer expectations.
  • Interpret test results and synthesize data into technical reports.
  • Lead the creation and update of Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (xFMEA) documents.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to senior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
  • BS or equivalent expertise in electromechanical design in electrical distribution products.
  • Knowledge of AGILE Methodology.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and 3D CAD Modeling.
  • Experience in Product Testing and Evaluation Methods (UL/CSA/NOM/IEC/CCC/ANSI).
  • Knowledge of first principles of Physics and Engineering Practice.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly techniques.
  • Deep knowledge of circuit breaker products, theory, and application.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a multicultural virtual environment.
